May 1– Departure Date minus 4 Days

We are carrying prayers with us to Santiago:

For my Mom and Dad, who are surely RV’ing on clouds;

For Joe’s Dad in heaven making people guess how old he is, and Joe’s mom on earth still cooking sauce each Sunday to share with her family;

For our grandmothers and grandfathers, who were decent, God-fearing men and women, who ran the farms and washed the clothes and earned the bread;

For Brooks Farr who always loved a good adventure and loved music and laughing;

For Art, Tessie, Bob Jones, Aunt Peggy, and all the others who left us shockingly early and quickly, leaving us numb and wondering at the fairness of life and determined to make the most of our years remaining;

For all those battling life-threatening health issues today, Pam and Craig and Deb and Chris and Carol and Dick and John and Mary and Timmy and Nathaniel and Auntie Elaine and Mary Lou and Auntie Ellen;

For all those crippled by substance abuse and looking for help (look up http://www.aa.org/ or http://www.al-anon.alateen.org/).  Help is only one meeting away;

For our strong, giving sons Jimmy and Anthony, our much loved brought-into-the-family daughters Amy and Victoria; and our delightful, healthy, bright grandchildren– Isabella, Giuliana, George, Aurelia, Magnus, and the upcoming Genghis;

In the name of Saint James we pray for these whom we love.

About dbarloworg

I retired in 2016 and joined Joe in lounging around the home all day. We started this blog to record our Camino in May of 2017, then kept it going through my Camino in September 2017, and used it again for my trip to Nepal in 2018 and further.
