Nashville, Mother’s Day 2023

Lots of smokers.

No food with fiber.
Big breakfast buffet with sausage, bacon, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal with lots of toppings, bagels, muffins, rolls, waffles, pancakes, whole apples, whole oranges, whole bananas, coffee with creamers. Good food, no Whole Foods and no vegetables.

It’s muggy and hot.

Everyone is really nice.

Graceland was startlingly 70’s and middle-class. I thought it would be a mansion. Average sized kitchen with laminate counters just like ours in Auburn. Family room gaudily decorated in jungle theme, the same size as everyone’s family room in the basement that I ever knew. Dining room, table for 8, with console tv in it. Living room, like Aunt Mary’s formal room.

About dbarloworg

I retired in 2016 and joined Joe in lounging around the home all day. We started this blog to record our Camino in May of 2017, then kept it going through my Camino in September 2017, and used it again for my trip to Nepal in 2018 and further.
